Every year at the end of August, the town of Angoulême, in south-western France, becomes the capital of French-language cinema during the Angoulême Francophone Film Festival.

Screenings, premieres, encounters: over the years, the event has established itself as one of the major highlights of the new film season. Maison Canard-Duchêne is proud to have accompanied this key event for the fourth consecutive year.

A look back at this rich week.

The Angoulême Francophone Film Festival

Founded in 2008 by Dominique Besnehard and Marie-France Brière, the FFA has been celebrating popular and subtle French-language cinema for 18 years.

Now unmissable, the festival honours the films of today and of yesterday, as well as the talents of tomorrow, before an enthusiastic and passionate audience.

Many great films have taken their first steps in Angoulême: Intouchables, La guerre est déclarée, Hippocrate, Boîte noire, Aline and Vingt Dieux, confirming the popularity of the Festival and of its local audience.

Champagne Canard-Duchêne, Official Supplier of the Angoulême Francophone Film Festival

For four years, Maison Canard-Duchêne has accompanied this emblematic event as Official Champagne Supplier, thereby supporting the French-language seventh art, which brings generations together around beautiful emotions and celebrates the talents of today and tomorrow. Guests were thus able to taste the Léonie Iconic cuvée during the various highlights of this cinematic week.

To keep an unforgettable memory of this 2026 edition, the members of the jury signed a unique jeroboam of Léonie Iconic, to be discovered at the Domaine de Ludes.

Unique Collaborations

This attachment to culture and creation finds a particular echo in the collaboration between Maison Canard-Duchêne and the artist duo Pangea, formed by Laëtitia Rouget and Colombine Jubert. Together, they imagined Equilibrium, a patched and embroidered textile arch, visible in the cellars of the Domaine de Ludes, which celebrates the unbreakable bond between Man and Nature, a sensitive echo of the history of the Maison.

A work to discover, accompanied by two limited editions imagined to extend this union between artistic poetry and the Champagne art of living.
