Our History

An enduring legacy

Canard-Duchêne was born from the beauty of an unbreakable bond. Our commitment to building enduring partnerships and respect for our lands have guided our passion for Champagne for over 150 years.

The journey began when winemaker Léonie Duchêne and barrel-maker Victor Canard united their expertise to create Champagne that reflected the exceptional character of their beloved Montagne de Reims. Combining their names, they launched Canard-Duchêne, marking the start of a generational legacy.

Their commitment to cultivating the best of their terroir quickly established the House as a favorite among French and international connoisseurs. The Maison has evolved over time, but the heart of Canard-Duchêne remains unchanged, still led by a dedicated Champagne family for over 20 years.
