Inspired by Nature
Rooted in Our Terroir
Our land is the foundation of everything we do and the secret to the excellence of our champagnes. Since its founding, Canard-Duchêne has been rooted in Ludes, a village classified as Premier Cru, making us one of the few Maisons established in the heart of the vineyards and the Montagne de Reims Regional Nature Park. This exceptional setting allows us to nurture a deep connection with the terroir, preserving its essence in every bottle we craft.
A Conversation with Nature
We proudly maintain a 2.5-hectare park, home to century-old trees and rare species, all thoughtfully preserved to promote biodiversity. Our 9-hectare plot is farmed organically, allowing us to stay attuned to nature’s rhythms and evolving needs.
The chalk as a natural shelter
All our wines mature in the naturally optimal conditions of our cellars, carved into the chalk. Spread over four levels and six kilometers, 38 meters underground, our galleries ensure constant and ideal humidity, temperature, and darkness.
