For the third year in a row, Maison Canard-Duchêne proudly served as the official supplier of the Angoulême Francophone Film Festival (FFA). By supporting this major cultural event, the Maison highlights the deep connection between French art de vivre and the cinematic arts, at a prestigious gathering that brings together artists, film lovers, and professionals from across the Francophone world.
The Angoulême Francophone Film Festival
Founded in 2008 by Dominique Besnehard and Marie-France Brière, the Angoulême Francophone Film Festival has become one of the most significant events dedicated to Francophone cinema, celebrating its diversity, creativity, and cultural impact each year.
With its "Official Competition", exclusive premieres, and numerous encounters with filmmakers, the festival attracts a wide audience as well as major names in cinema—including directors, producers, and actors. Over the years, renowned talents such as Isabelle Huppert, Karine Viard, Jacques Gamblin, Virginie Efira, and Omar Sy have graced Angoulême’s red carpet, making the event a highlight of the annual film calendar.
The 18th edition, dedicated to Québécois cinema, was elevated by an exceptional jury: chaired by Diane Kruger and joined by Fabrice du Welz, Michel Field, Imany, and Baya Kasmi. Together, they honored standout films such as Promis le ciel by Erige Sehiri and Muganga, celui qui soigne by Marie-Hélène Roux, now showing in theaters.

A Celebration of Craftsmanship
Because no major event is complete without exceptional Champagne, Maison Canard-Duchêne was honored to accompany key moments of this prestigious festival with its Léonie Iconic cuvée. Through this partnership, the Maison reaffirms its commitment to supporting Francophone cinema—an art form that unites generations through powerful emotions and celebrates outstanding creative talent.
